VPN

There are many ways to connect remotely either to the office, or to a cloud service.

The more secure way is using VPN:

VPN stands for Virtual Private Network.

It is a technology that allows you to connect to the internet securely and privately.

It creates a secure (encrypted) tunnel from point A to Point B.

As most people use it to connect to remote servers/ computers, it also has another use.

To hide your identity, every device on the internet gets an IP address, which allows to identify the user and location using that device.

VPN, allows to show as if you’re connected from a different location, for example if you based in California, but connected to a VPN in the UK, the internet will identify you as being in the UK, it will allow you to consume local data that is provided free in that location (UK in this matter).

Furthermore, people use it to compare rates, such as flight fares, hotels, vacations etc. It is well known that providers would change rates based on location.

Different devices have the capability of a VPN server, usually router & firewalls are gateway that has the VPN features, but there also free VPN tools out there, some are free, and some have a fee.

You should be aware that running your internet traffic through a VPN, maybe slower your internet performance, so we recommend using as needed.

Thinking of setting up a VPN, let us know, we would be happy to set it up for you.
